The Brembo Serie Oro floating discs are composed of a stainless steel braking band, connected via drive pawls to the bell made of aluminum alloy (for some codes the bell is made of steel), the latter machined CNC and subsequently anodized. The pawls allow controlled movement between the band and the bell and allow the materials to expand when stressed while remaining within the correct operating tolerances.
