Designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and pressures encountered in high-performance engines, silicone hoses do not deteriorate whatever the conditions in which they are used. These pipes are produced using the most resistant polymers to allow them to withstand extreme temperatures (from −60°C to +220°C) and resist the action of UV rays, water, ozone and any type of corrosion. These hoses have excellent tensile and compression resistance qualities and are reinforced with polyester or Nomex to withstand temperatures far higher than those allowable by normal rubber hoses.
The increased resistance to heat is associated with great softness, flexibility and adhesive qualities to the pump and radiator fittings: factors which increase the reliability of the motorbike by avoiding any possible breakage of the hoses, detachment of the same during a fall and any other stress caused by the extreme use encountered in competitions.
Another advantage is offered by the weight: by adopting silicone pipes it is possible to obtain a benefit in this sense too.
