The hybrid cooling vest is lightweight and easy to (re)activate.
The vest is suitable for multifunctional use, for example during work, sports and for recreational applications.

The hybrid vest is designed to be worn in locations where there is no extremely high ambient temperature and works best in low to medium humidity. The amount of airflow over the body determines the cooling effect and the duration of the cooling.

By immersing it in water, the hybrid vest can be used as a cooling vest, but is also prepared for Macna Cool Packs. They are available in 21˚ and 29˚ versions.

Activation - Wet

Immerse the product in water for 1 or 2 minutes.
Then gently squeeze out the excess water.
Finally, dry the water-repellent liner (vest/headwear) with a towel before use. And you're ready to go!


The Hybrid Cooling Vest refrigerant material was developed for up to 200 wet/dry cycles (activations). Water absorption decreases over time because the fibers clump together in the fabric structure.

A reduction in water absorption may occur after the first 10 wet/dry cycles; subsequently the absorption remains relatively stable. This is a normal process. However, the material offers very effective water absorption, evaporation and therefore cooling capacity.

The degree of absorption is also influenced by the maintenance method of the product and the quality of the water.

Activation - Cool Pack
The time it takes to fully activate them depends on the temperature of the Cool Pack and the cooling method:

Ice water: about 20 minutes
Freezer: about 40 minutes
Refrigerator: about 60 minutes

You can also activate them by exposing them to the following room temperature:

19°C for the Cool Pack 21°C
26°C for the Cool Pack 29°C

Do not stack the packages, but lay them in a single layer. If you want to use them straight from the freezer, they may be too cold to wear. It is therefore recommended to wait at least five minutes so that they can heat up to the set temperature of 21°C or 29°C, depending on the type of PCM chosen. Once the PCM reaches this temperature, it will maintain it for hours!
