Release 1.02 of the 2017 R6 steering plate designed for the younger sister of the Iwata company, our technical staff wanted to enclose the most effective solutions in an attractive design in this component.
While the canonical measurements of sheath distance and steering head offset remain unchanged, this plate boasts a notable reduction in weight, from 526 grams of the standard plate to 478 grams.
Maintaining excellent rigidity during the braking phase and thanks to the through pockets it allows a progressive torsional capacity to facilitate entry and cornering, a determining factor for the motorcyclist who wants to take this 600 to its limit; all of this will translate into a better feeling on the front end.
Note the introduction of two ribs developed to maintain the torsional characteristics of the plate in order to obtain further lightening of the same.
As in the previous version, the presence of the vernier on the front of the bracelets is confirmed, an element introduced for the first time by Melotti Racing and much appreciated for always having a precise reference on the opening of the handlebars.
In fact, once the preferred driving setting has been identified, the latter can be easily restored after disassembly and reassembly operations on the front axle.
The plate is available in black (anodized) color, complete with stainless steel screws with Pro-Bolt truncated cone head (official supplier of screws for most of the MotoGP and SBK world championship teams).
This plate does not allow the assembly of the original ignition lock; if you need it, the road version is available.
